Threeclipse Playtest — Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 9, 2026.

This policy explains what Threeclipse Inc. ("Threeclipse," "we," "us") collects when you submit feedback or a bug report through our playtest builds, why we collect it, and your rights. It applies only to the in-game feedback/bug-reporting feature in our playtest versions.

Threeclipse Inc. is the controller responsible for your information. Our contact details are in section 11.

1. What We Collect

When you submit a report, we collect:

  • Your SteamID — a unique number tied to your Steam account.
  • The contents of your report — the text you write and anything you choose to include (descriptions, steps to reproduce, etc.).
  • Basic technical details about the report — such as the game build version — to help us reproduce and fix issues.

We do not collect your Steam display name, your real name, your email, or your Steam login credentials.

2. Why We Collect It (and Our Legal Basis)

We use this information only to:

  • Review your feedback and fix bugs to improve the game;
  • Identify which playtest account a report came from, so we can follow up if needed and detect or prevent abuse of the playtest and the reporting system — including revoking playtest access where warranted.

For players in the EU/UK: we rely on your consent for collecting and using your report, and on our legitimate interest in protecting the playtest from abuse. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

3. Your Consent

We collect this information only when you choose to submit a report and agree to this policy at that time. You can decline simply by not submitting. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see section 7), though we cannot un-fix a bug your report already helped us address.

4. Where Your Information Is Stored and International Transfers

Reports are collected and stored using Google Forms and Google Drive (provided by Google LLC), on servers that may be located outside your country, including in the United States. Where your information is transferred out of Québec, the EU, or the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards: Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and relies on Standard Contractual Clauses. We have assessed that your information receives an adequate level of protection before relying on this service.

5. Who Can See It

Access is limited to Threeclipse team members who need it to review feedback and manage the playtest. We do not share your information with any third party except Google as our storage provider (section 4), or where required by law.

6. How Long We Keep It

We keep report data for as long as it is useful for the playtest, and for up to 12 months after the game's commercial release, after which it is deleted.

7. Your Rights

You may ask us to:

  • Access the information we hold about you;
  • Correct it (rectification);
  • Delete it, or withdraw your consent.

If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to restrict or object to our processing, and to receive your information in a portable format.

To exercise any of these, contact our Privacy Officer (section 11) with your SteamID so we can locate your reports. We will respond within 30 days. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing we already carried out before you withdrew.

8. How to Complain

If you have a concern, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator:

  • Québec: Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (www.cai.gouv.qc.ca)
  • EU: your country's data protection authority
  • UK: the Information Commissioner's Office (www.ico.org.uk)

9. Age

The playtest feedback feature is intended for users 16 years of age or older. By submitting a report, you confirm you are at least 16. If you are under 16, please do not submit feedback without a parent or guardian's consent.

10. Security

We use the security measures provided by Google for stored reports and limit access to authorized team members. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
